Well, I guess I am not moving to Alaska. I'm quite relieved. I would love to visit Alaska, maybe even live there someday. Yet right now, I was a little concerned that I might be a little isolated in that particular area.
So, down to one more week of school. Mixed feelings. I love my students, my drama crew The FEW and all the 'lil munchkins that make me laugh and even those that make me cry. I don't believe I'll miss the tears, but there will be a few shed I fear. Hopefully not this evening at the end of the year party and farewell. Definitely at graduation. Even though it has been a rough few years, I do love my kids. I've become so attached to many of them and their families.
ARG! I get so angry at those who have done their best to destroy what we had worked so hard for. I realize though that it's not my battle, I'm just one of the warriors, and that if it wasn't precious territory, Satan wouldn't be trying so hard here. I need to just give it all to God and let Him lead the next warrior for His children. Where He wants me to go next, I don't know. Sometimes I wonder if He doesn't want me to stay here, but what will I do here? Then there are times were He shows me other possibilities, but doesn't open the door wide enough yet for me to walk through. Who knows, I'm a work in progress I hope, and . . .
Yeah, it's lonely, but when He leads, awesome things happen. I just have to look at what He's done through The FEW to really see, and be reminded how much He does work through us. This week, we went out to La Vida Mission, had no idea that it was their week of prayer, and we shared there, and wouldn't you know it, it was the day that they were going to make an appeal to the youth to give their hearts to Jesus, and it just flowed with what they were concentrating on for the week. The saying goes, "God works in mysterious ways". NAW! I don't think there is anything mysterious in how things work in perfect timing. It's pretty blunt if you ask me. :)
So, just have to wait, and work till He makes the next step just plain to see again.
Happy Sabbath all! May God bless you this week to come, and give you all peace in your hearts.
