A lovely ending, to a begining of a busy weekend . . .

or week for that matter. Camp meeting . . . lots of people. I'm finding the older I get, the more I like a little more solitude. Either that, or I prefer smaller crowds at least. Sabbath at camp meeting, when you are young, or not working at one can be such a joy and refreshing. When you work as staff, it's long, intense at times, stressful, and just not what it was when you're young and go to the meetings and sing about Jesus and make crafts and such.

I remember when I went to Oregon Camp Meeting, I was in Primary probably, and there was a song that was always sung with this puppet, Danny O'Day. Now it seems rather cheesy, but back then, my little 8 year old self loved it. And I loved the evening programs that had all sorts of good stories and singing . . . So as I was on my way over to the office for a few minutes to myself and write, I ran into a student of mine, who wasen't at his meeting. I asked him why he wasen't there, he said he didn't like meetings, and he played with his little portable video game. He's here, where he can be with friends, and family and do all sorts of awesome things, and he's playing video games. I'm not sure what that says for either the departments, or the family life, or what. Somehow, this week, I'm going to try and get him to a meeting in his tent, but maybe I should go over there so I can tell him what he's missing so he might get interested. Sooo, off I go to Juniors :)

Ahhhhh, photos . . . :p
Another week is half way through . . . haven't heard anything from over the ocean as to whether I will be moving or not. But hey, I've been busy too. Lately I've been reminded just how awesome God's plan for me is. I don't know what the next few months will bring, but He's brought me here to work with the staff and kids at this summer camp.

I hate pictures, but took some halfway decent ones today. :)

AHHHH! Sabbath once again! I've now been at camp for over a week, and wow, what a young staff :) hmm, maybe it's just me. :-p I'm enjoying the experiance though again. Leadership has it's advantages, and what a witness.

WOOHOO!!! I'm getting call backs. I've had two interviews in just the last week, from the same place. Do I really want to live in the tropics?

It's off to the great outdoors and take some kids out canoeing and discover the beauty of creation. :)

Happy Sabbath again all!

GRRRRRR!!!
I am having the worst time with setting up links . . . stupid template, not doing it's job!!! I can't even remove links. ERG!

Ah well, such is, such is

Oh good, it's working now :)
Off Off and I'm out of here!!!

So it appears that I have set up this blog, yet haven't done a thing about it for months. Crazy last few months. Speaches made (YIKES!!!), both a serman and a commencement address (SHOCKING). Ran a children's program for some meetings from church . . . I'll just say that dealing with kids from ages 1 to 10 in the same small room, and helpers all under 14, is quite the experiance.

Yet now I can relax, oh, for a day or two, and then PACK! PACK! PACK! For it's off to working with more kids, who will be in charge of younger kids for two months, and WOOHOOO!!! I'm moving from Wisconsin!!! Where to? who knows! I'm just excited to be moving! Oh to move back to the Northwest, but hey, whatever.

So tomorrow, and the next few days it is packing up all my stuff I've aquired over the years, and not just the essentials needed for the two months I'll be spending at the camp I spend summer months at.

Thursday, January 5

I wonder what it is that draws people to desire a view into another's life, and yet here I am exposing myself that someone can have a peek into my own.

An adventure to begin? or just a little place of space to express what happens in my little 'korner' of the world.

New Year, New beginings . . . what's in store? We will see.
