DUDE! it almost March!

hehe . . . DUDE! . . . and what generation am I?

So it is though, about March. Thankfully it appears to be warming up here as well. Got up into the 50's the last two days. WOOHOO!!! And now I have so much going on. Since going to the Drama and Worship convention, so many ideas and stuff to share and do. And of course, Music Festival to get ready for. A large Drama Vespers we're working on. Teaching Recorders to the lower grades (hopefully they come in the mail soon) And lets see . . . oh yes, doing mini workshops with my mom, the principal, on Love and Logic (great stuff! mom's really getting into it and teaching us, and I think it could really change the school and the families). My eyes are spinning with all that is coming up.

Be praying for us the next couple months!

Still Waiting :)

I'm sitting in a new terminal, waiting for J- and listening to some great tunes on my ipod . . . THANK YOU! Mom and Dad and Tim for the Bose headphones!!!! they are awesome for traveling! Hehe, muffles the people that are arguing on the phone, little kids screaming (though that one wasen't so bad . . . she screamed with joy when she saw her daddy), and the repeating message over the speakers along the lines of not accepting packages from strangers, and if they do report them immediately. HELLO! well, ok, there are some people that are rather nievely intellectually, but still . . . ever 3 minutes or ok, 5.

OH, it's 8:52, J-'s flight is supposed to be arriving now . . . off I go to see :)

Airlines!

So, my flights were uneventful . . . and I'm sitting in the Airport waiting for J- to come in (both our flights were delayed, her's longer then mine and we were suppose to arrive within 15 minutes of each other or so) :) And thought, hmm, since there is free wi-fi, I'll post from the airport while I eat a sub . . . yeah yeah, I know, I shouldn't eat bread, oh well.

BUT ERG!!! STUPID Great Lakes Airlines did not get my bag on my flight, and I am without my clothes!!!

Ok, not completely devastating, I put a pair of jeans and a T and Sweatshirt in my carry on . . . but you can't put you're other necessities in your carry-ons anymore . . . HMPH ! deoderant? toothbrush and toothpaste? face wash . . . ERG!!!

Supposedly they are good about getting the bags by at least midnight . . . hmph! I want it sooner, I'm staying about 45 minutes from here!!!!!!! Ok, it's OK! I'm on a trip, gonna spend time with a good friend, get some fun ideas and enjoy watching drama and music and . . . :)

Here's hoping my bag shows up by the time J- comes in, in a couple hours. :) Gonna go find a bus to take me to the terminal she's coming in on. I'm so glad I brought my computer. HaHa!

One More Day!

WOOHOO!!! I get to get out of town for a few days. AND I get to go to a drama ministry convention! I'm stoked!

Yup, right now, life is good . . . even all the sick kiddies aren't bothering me so much. Ok, not true, I worry about how much these flus and colds have been turning into pneumonia. At least four cases. I'm praying this weekend away will do my body good, build up some immunities! :)

Well, off to Kindergarten Music! Hope you all have a beautiful day! I feel for you northern people who are experiancing some extreme cold. You're in my prayers!

Sabbath Afternoon Drive!

My family and I went for a drive yesterday up to Navajo Dam. A pretty nice drive actually. Tim took more pictures then I did, it was a little cold, so I enjoyed most of the trip from inside the car, but I got a few shots on my digital, hopefully the one on my SLR will be even better. :)

Pretty impressive, and the color of the 'lake'! very lovely!

The pup came along of course . . . loved ever moment of it, and then left all sorts of muddy dog prints on the car seats and my clothes.

The overflow from the dam is partly seen here . . . but I thought the water crook was kinda fascinating.

Faceing the other direction on the top of the dam, you see the lake.

We drove on up . . . not sure what direction, but got some lovely sights of the lake and the Rockies in the distance.

There are several houseboats on the lake, like a little houseboat village, though it was a little quiet, and considering the temperatures, I doubt anyone lives out there this time of year.

Apparently it is a lovely place to go during the summer.

It get's rather hot here in the summers. Dry and Hot! so I can immagine the lake is a definate favorite place to get away.

We then drove back and drove straight across the dam and got another veiw.

It was interesting to note that that you drive across the dam the road that cuts across the middle on the way up. Mom got a little confused, understandably since we were also drawing house plans if they were to buy the house they are renting right now. And couldn't figure out how we were on the top, and not on the road we came up on. hehe.

Looking over the lake, the dam, the overflow, the river, the mountains . . . spectacular view from above. Tim obviously didn't think he'd need a coat, but he definately got cold. Still, I look forward to seeing some of the pictures he took, he took a lot more time then I did. I just snapped shots and jumped back in the car if I couldn't get a decent shot from inside the car.

And lastly, one last shot I got from the top of the mesa. Overlooking the riverflow from the dam and down the way. And one shot of the "hovering mountains". :)

Hope you all had a lovely sabbath too! :)

innocence vs. naivety

Girl's are so . . . obnoxious really. Especially at certain times and at certain ages. If I ever was a cruel and devious pre-teen/teenager, I appologive profusely from the bottom of my heart. Though honestly I can not immagine ever having said or done things I've seen and heard girls do these days. Of course, what kids are watching, and have been watching since they can remember on TV is the example to live by. "Mean Girls" a favorite movie of the teens today, and other such films . . . sure, they are amusing to watch, yet the teens and younger are emulating them. LOL! I felt soooo guilty when I watched a rated R movie, when I was 17. Never was I permitted to watch films that were rated above my age, and even when we did watch a movie, it was done with the family. Questionable stuff, mom would talk with me about it. I was very blessed to have a mother who wanted to protect me, and guard my innocence. I was not raised naive, but protected and guided into independence with understanding. And is it just me, but are boys getting more and more stupid, just as tv and film make them out to be.

I would someday like to be married, if God wills, and to be blessed with children, yet as I work with kids each day and see what is going on. I more and more wonder if I am blessed with children if I won't be tempted to over-protect them. HA! naw, won't happen . . . not with my family :D However, I will not raise children the way it is 'shown' to be. There is something to be said for my grandparent's (ok, my mom's parents) generation and the way they raised a family. With a firm hand, and an overflowing loving hearts. Protecting the innocence of thier children as best they can, without making them naive.

Soo, I guess I will just keep on working with the kids and thier mis-directed angst and encourage them to a better understanding of love. God's love, Christian love, TRUE love and friendship. Keep praying for the youth of Today! and thier parents and teachers! :)
